Welcome to Paratus Sharpening
Caitlin Buschmann was inspired to pursue sharpening while working as a groomer. Realizing that there was a definite need for sharpening in the area and finding it very intriguing she decided to branch off from grooming to start Paratus Sharpening. While she loves grooming, she also very much enjoys helping others in the grooming industry, as well as beauticians, and barbers maintain their beloved equipment. Armed with the understanding of how much your equipment means to you, as well as professional training. Caitlin is prepared to offer the best possible experience that she can for all her clients.
What we sharpen
Paratus Sharpening sharpens all types of scissors, and shears. Such as beauty, barber, grooming, sewing, fabric, and industrial. We sharpen all lengths of straights, curves, serrated, corrugated, and pinking shear. We also sharpen beauty, barber, and groomer’s clipper blades. Sharpening knives will come in the near future. We have also been trained to sharpen both right, and left-handed scissors, and shears.
How we sharpen
We provide in-town pick up and drop off services, as well as mail in sharpening services. We have been professionally trained to sharpen using specifically designed equipment for sharpening scissors, and clipper blades.
How long it will take to complete your order and return it to you depends on the workload we have, when we receive your equipment. Our goal is to have it completed and back to you as soon as we can once we receive the order. We will always keep the site updated as to our estimated turnaround times.
Shipping
We suggest that when shipping that you wrap scissors and blades in protective padding and place them in a box for shipping. We also recommend that the package be insured for the full replacement value of the equipment. We don’t expect any problems, but some packages are more expensive than others, and we can never truly account for human error.
When returned your equipment will be shipped via (USPS) united states postal service priority mail. Additional insurance can be purchased from USPS to cover the estimated value of equipment on request. USPS may require a signature upon delivery for high value items that have been insured.
